“Real Ale & Export“, is our regular informal club meeting held on the 2nd Thursday of every month.
Open to everyone involved in international trade, this event presents an opportunity to exchange information, advice and general banter with other companies and individuals involved in international trade.
As the name suggests, the evening is as much about good beer, good food and good conversation as it is about serious business.

On the agenda for our monthly meeting tonight, we will be discussing the issue of promoting SME exports in Kent.
1) Over the past month, we have been developing a survey questionnaire to find out more about how Kent business get business oveerseas and to see how the club can support local exporters through its activities. The survey questionnaire has now been finalised, and tonight the members will have a chance to comment on the KEC questionnaire, so we can make any last changes before the survey goes live.
2) In addition to this, we are planning to use the results of the survey (plus some qualitative data from our members) to make a written submission to a new House of Lords’ Committee, which is making an enquiry into what the government is doing to assist and promote SME exports.
